Man Wanted in the USA arrested by FESC agents in Rosarito

A U.S. citizen, who had been hiding in Baja California aiming to evade justice was detained in Playas de Rosarito, according to a press release issued by the Citizen Security Task Force (FESC) of the State Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC in Spanish) last weekend where they report that the man had an outstanding warrant in the USA.

The arrest took place on Ricardo Alzar Street in the 17 de Agosto secton of Tijuana, after an intelligence and investigative operation launched based on key information provided by the U.S. Marshals to the SSC.

Identified as Andrew “N,” 34-year-old from Los Angeles, California, has an arrest warrant issued by a judge of the U.S. District Court for the State of Arizona for the crime of arms trafficking in the city of Phoenix, dated July 13, 2022, under case number: CR-22-00700-001-PHX-DW.

The press reease iforms that there was a search of the vehicle he was driving, a maroon 2016 Ford Focus with Mexican border-region license plates, where the SSC’s FESC agents found a blister pack containing four pills of Clonazepam.

Once under custody in Mexican territory, and due to the evidence found, Andrew “N” was handed over to the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to establish his legal status, most likely he will be sent back to the United Sates.
