The arrival of 19 cruise ships, events such as the Baja 400, the 2022 Yokohama NORRA 500, the Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride and the Bufadora Day, make September an excellent month for Ensenada tourist servers, said Mayor Armando Ayala Robles, commenting on the month’s expectations which began with an excellent weekend.
Labor Day weekend turned out to be great for Hotels, restaurant said other businesses in Ensenada, said Ayala Robles, who highlighted that this first weekend of September, hotel occupancy was 71.8% on Friday, and on Saturday it rose to 85%, making it an excellent prologue for September.
“Although in some regions the high season ends in August, in Ensenada we have the opportunity to extend it throughout the national month,” he celebrated, and then the end of October and beginning pf November are expected to be great for Ensenada due to the World Congress of Wine Producers, which will take place from October 31 to November 4.
This year is unfolding as an excellent one for Ensenada and according to Major Ayala Robles, it has been thanks to the efforts and commitment that the local business sector has put into generating a better touristic offer for thousands of visitors who look at the port as a vacation alternative and arrive at this city every weekend.
He mentioned that there are 18 arrivals expected, cruise ships from the Carnival and Royal Caribbean shipping companies that are scheduled to arrive in September, to which the technical arrival of the Sapphire Princess is another one arriving this month.
“Only considering cruise ship tourism, we exceeded 30 thousand visitors. To this we must add the thousands of fans who come to enjoy off-road races, cycling, land routes and nautical activities, among others,” he explained.
