The planets’ most popular tourist destinations have been deserted due to COVID19, Los Cabos is also filled with tourists, actress Kyle Richards for one, posted a picture wearing an impressing bikini in Las Ventanas al Paraíso, one of the resorts that had been looking desolated, Baja Sur beaches and resorts try to come back to life as air travel to Los Cabos is slowly opening again and hotels are partially operating.
There as an Eastern Airlines nonstop flight from JFK to Los Cabos which has been delayed for November, American Airlines announced flights to Los Cabos from Austin, Texas, New York’s JFK and Sacramento, California, beginning mid-December, but there are other flights.
The Austin-Los Cabos route was announced late last year and was supposed to commence in May, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Cancun will see new direct flights from Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; and Saint Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. The flights from Raleigh will be daily and the other destinations will be on Saturdays
About 75 to 80% of Los Cabos’ economy is tourism, it keeps the State and all the country busy, jobs and the flow of lots of economic resources depend on the “touristic industry” the third most important economic activity which amounts for almost 10% of the Gross Domestic Product, international flights to Cabo plummeted 90 percent due to the pandemics.
There are lots of attractions in Los Cabos, from incredible landscapes and world class resorts to fun places such as Cabo Wabo, a bar that belongs to Sammy Hagar, former Van Halen vocalist, that had been a staple for many years is reopening, and celebrities that had turned Los Cabos into their favorite beach destination are starting to come back to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
