Erick Adrián “N” AKA “El Pepón”—an alleged member of an organized crime cartel, was arrested by the FESC (State Citizen Security Force) in a joint Special Operation with federal forces, when he was detained, he was “packing heat”, ammo, Kevlar vests, and radios, as well as a significant quantity of drugs, in the Maneadero Parte Alta area of Ensenada.
FESC agents arrested “El Pepón” when he was driving around in Maneadero, near Ensenada, they try to pull him over but he stepped on the gas, they purused him and detained him a few blocks away
The operation was led by the State Citizen Security Force (FESC) with support from the Secretariat of the Navy (MARINA), the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the State Investigation Agency of the State Attorney General’s Office, and the Ensenada Municipal Police.
The action took place in the southern zone of the municipality. During their customary surveillance work, officers spotted a black 2014 Chevrolet Equinox without license plates and proceeded to conduct a traffic stop.
They signaled the driver to stop using lights and sirens, but he ignored the command and a pursuit ensued. The chase ended moments later when officers cut off his path to question him; upon searching the vehicle, FESC agents discovered long guns, a pistol, nine AK-47 rifle magazines, two .223 caliber magazines, a 9mm drum magazine, six ballistic plates, two tactical vests, 28 rounds of 7.62×39 ammunition, five rounds of 7.62×59 ammunition, and thirteen 9mm rounds.
They also found a gram scale, a board bearing the inscription “Maneadero 49,” and 12 bags of methamphetamine—all of which were seized in accordance with standard protocols for such situations—along with marijuana and cocaine.
Along with the weapons, tactical gear, ammunition, narcotics, and other evidence, “El Pepón” was turned over to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR), which will continue the investigation and determine his legal status.
