The United States Coast Guard intercepted nine suspected illegal immigrants who allegedly were attempting to enter the neighboring country illegally, while conducting a maritime safety patrol in Mission Bay on Saturday, August 1, 2026, according to a pres release issued by the United States Consulate in Tijuana.
Ships and improvised vessels, with no safety features, such as life vests and emergency boats and flares, are the means many illegal immigrants cghoose to try entering the US, and many of them die trying to find the American Dream and finding a nightmare

Once again, the U.S. Coast Guard locates and detains illegal immigrants who were attempting to enter California by sea, in a way, they save their lives because they are in «open sea» with not many safety measures, and they may even die before reaching American seashore.
So, according to the Coast Guard information, at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, the crew of a 45-foot medium response boat from the San Diego Coast Guard Station identified a 22-foot Seaswirl vessel entering Mission Bay and proceeded to inspect the vessel.
During the inspection, nine suspected illegal immigrants were identified and detained. The vessel was escorted to a lifeguard dock in Mission Bay, and the nine individuals were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Imperial Beach Station for further processing.
