A rescue operation carried out by the Mexican Navy saved five foreign citizens who were sailing aboard a recreation yacht, 50 nautical miles (92 kilometers) South of Ensenada, near Punta Eréndira, according to a press a press release issued by the Second Naval Zone.
The Mexican Navy, acting in a Coast Guard capacity, responded to the emergency

There was an emergency call to the Navy Command in Ensenada, reporting five foreign passengers and two pets were aboard a recreational yacht that had suffered a serious failure, and the passengers’ lives were at risk.

Upon arriving at the area, Navy personnel rescued the five individuals and their two pets, and took them to the Hutchinson Port dock to address the water leak affecting the vessel.
Likewise, personnel from the Regional Port Captain’s Office in Ensenada reviewed the corresponding documentation, and as of the moment there had been no problems regarding that matter.
