Woman Arrested by Mexicali PD for Vandalizing and Stealing from Sake Restaurant at Plaza Fimbres

A woman who allegedly vandalized and stole the ridiculous amount of one thousand 500 pesos from the restaurant-bar “Sake,” located at Plaza Fimbres, was arrested by Mexicali PD cops at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Friday, December 19, according to the Mexicali Municipal Public Security Department (DSPM).

A call to the C5 Control Center reported a break in and robbery in progress inside the Sake restaurant, within Plaza Fimbres on Benito Juárez Boulevard, near Jardines del Valle section of Mexicali, the Mexicali PD informed in a press release.

Officers responded to the call and went to the scene to interview the restaurant’s cook, who reported that as he was opening the doors, he noticed a woman inside the premises, she was  standing in front of the cash register, and there was physical damage to the facilities and disorder, which prompted him to call 911.

Upon detaining her, officers found the ridiculous amount in cash in her pants, which she allegedly took from the register. They also noticed damage to a porcelain dragon decor. The woman was identified as Cecilia “N,” 39 years old, and was arrested on charges of theft and private property damage and was subsequently turned over to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).
