FESC State Police and Mexican Army seize 8 kilos of several drugs from abandoned vehicle, no arrests made

More than 8 kilos of various drugs (mainly marihuana, eth and heroin) were found inside an abandoned vehicle in Montecarlo Third section in Mexicali, the drugs and car were seized by agents of the State Civil Security Force (FESC) and members of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), but there were no arrests made, according to the Secretariat of Citizen Security.

Following a 9-1-1 emergency call reporting the presence of armed individuals inside a white 2013 Ford Taurus at the intersection of Girolata Avenue and Vezani Street, FESC agents launched a fast response operation after receiving the report of the emergency call.

They located the car, which had “ANAPROMEX” license plates FV 07 335, it was unoccupied, unlocked and several boxes and bags were visible from outside the car, containing:

  • 580 grams of a substance resembling heroin
  • 6 kilograms and 860 grams of marijuana
  • 2 kilograms and 400 grams of marijuana
  • 460 grams of methamphetamine

They also found an ID card affiliated with an undisclosed medical institution, the drugs and car were secured and, with support of SEDENA (Mexican Army) they handed over all the materials to the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the authority that will carry out the corresponding investigation.
