Seeking to strengthen binational coordination, strengthen ties, and implement joint strategies to guarantee security on both sides of the border, authorities from the Municipal Public Safety Directorate of Mexicali (DSPM) and the U.S. Border Patrol El Centro Sector met at the headquarters of the U.S. corporation.
The meeting was headed by the Chief of the Border Patrol El Centro Sector, Gregory K. Bovino, and the Director of the Municipal Police of Mexicali, Luis Felipe Chan Baltazar, accompanied by their main collaborators in operational and strategic areas
Both agreed on the importance of reinforcing cooperation between the two institutions to face security challenges in the border region: «We have worked together for many years, and I am sure we will continue to do so with excellent results,» said Chief Bovino.
This meeting between Gregory K. Bovino and Luis Felipe Chan Baltazar establishes direct communication between the leaders of both corporations, will strengthen the exchange of key information for the implementation of joint operations, and improve border security.
Chan Baltazar thanked the U.S. Border Patrol for their willingness and trust, highlighting the interest of the mayor of Mexicali, Norma Alicia Bustamante Martínez, in consolidating this bilateral relationship, especially in the face of potential challenges in migration matters in the coming days.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue developing coordinated activities in the short term and with the firm conviction that border security is a shared priority for both corporations.
