Mysterious deaths in Tijuana solved: It was CO2 poisoning

Four people who mysteriously died in Tijuana in their houses, including two minors, in two different cases which had the Police wandering about the cause of their deaths, separate happenings that occurred under similar characteristics, and unanswered questions, which now have  been answered,  according to the City Coromer

The people who perished in two different housholds in Tijuana, were victims of carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) of aforementioned city.

As a result of these incidents, 32 patients have been transported to receive medical attention for inhalation of toxic gases

The two adults who died in the El Refugio neighborhood on November 18 were identified as Josselyn «N» and Carlos «N». The cause of the tragedy was determined to be anoxemia secondary to toxic gas inhalation. Both bodies have already been handed over to their families.

Regarding the minors who died on Wednesday, November 20, at IMSS (Social Security Institute) Clinic 20 in Tijuana, from the Terrazas del Pacífico neighborhood, the cause of death was determined to be intoxication by toxic combustion gases.

According to statistical data from the Center for Control, Command, Communication, Computing, Quality, and Citizen Contact (C-5) from November 27, 2023, to November 20, 2023, there were 13 incidents with a total of eight fatalities due to carbon monoxide inhalation. This gas is odorless and causes drowsiness, headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, weakness, and, ultimately, death.
