By winning 491 medals in the at the 2024 CONADE National Games, athletes from Baja California achieved outstanding historical results, said Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, who also highlighted the effort and talent of the state’s athletes, and pointing out that Baja is among the top 5 States regarding sports.
The medals obtained by the young athletes, are a great honor for the State, said Marina del Pilar and said that 161 of those medals were gold, 169 silver, and 161 bronze, according to information provided by the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture (INDEBC), making this the best result in the last four years.
«The hard work and discipline of our athletes were the foundations of their success. Congratulations to our champions who represented Baja California with pride and dignity,» said Governor Marina del Pilar.
The state leader noted that the athletes representing Baja California return home with a historic result at the CONADE National Games, reiterating her support for them to continue growing as high and far as they wish.

The governor highlighted that in this edition, the first medal in Modern Pentathlon was obtained; there was an 8.5% increase in the number of sports disciplines in the top 10, going from 32 to 36; Judo and Badminton returned to the national podium; a historic high of 34 gold medals in Swimming was reached; and the first two medals in Skateboarding were won.
Finally, according to INDEBC information, the young athletes from Baja California stood out in the CONADE National Games, within a competition that brings together the best athletes from 51 conventional sports disciplines between the ages of 10 and 23 from across the country.
