Dangerous criminal wanted in the USA, caught in Tijuana by FESC and INTERPOL

Cooperation and a joint effort between agents of the International Liaison Group of Baja California State Citizen Security Force (FESC) and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) was of the utmost importance to locate and detain an alleged criminal in Tijuana.

According to the FESC which is the State Government’s Law Enforcement was wanted by the United States justice system since last June 2023, allegedly related in several crimes, such as drug trafficking, racketeering and money laundering, so an international alert was issued in order to locate and arrest him after locating him in Tijuana.

There were rumors that LUS FELIPE “N” had been hiding in Mexico, specifically in Tijuana, so FESC officers assigned to the Department of Citizen Security of Baja California (SSCBC) carried out exhaustive investigative work, aiming to determine where he was hiding.

Investigation by the FESC special agents made it possible to clearly specify the places where the now detainee was hiding so the state authority managed to secure and arrest him on Flores Magón Avenue in Tijuana inside the so called Salvatierra Section, where he thought he had found sanctuary.

According to information provided by INTERPOL, Luis Felipe “N” is wanted by the State of California, since he is accused of committing several crimes such as: organized crime, crimes against health, which is the official name of drug related crimes in Mexican Criminal Law, and operations with resources of illicit origin, that is money laundering.

In addition, it was reported that a United States Federal Agency requested that the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR) search it in Mexican territory since June 19, 2023, and if it was located, it also issued a request for the purposes of extradition, but the arrest was reportedly carried out by the State´s FGE.

The Department of Citizen Security of Baja California (SSCBC) assured they will continue working in order to improve security conditions that Baja Californians deserve, working Operational deployments by the International Liaison Coordination in order to keep foreign criminals from using Mexico as safe haven to hide and avoid justice, exchanging information with all authorities to achieve favorable results.
