A suspected serial killer, is the target of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) investigation, as apparently the six deaths in Mexicali, almost two weeks ago, were most likely perpetrated by the same individual.
From a technical standpoint, it is a serial killer, and there are apparently leads that could result in an arrest soon, said Rafael Cervantes, Mexicali’s Regional Prosecutor, who also said that the six were killed in the Baja California neighborhood of Mexicali at late January.|
And according to Cervantes Sánchez, they were somehow related to street drug dealing and presumably, the crimes were committed by the same person in two separate events, both considered “drug houses” places where addicts gather to buy and abuse substances.
The suspect they are investigating, was seemingly recently released from prison and they believe he acted under the influence of drugs ,and the fact that both cries were commited in «drug houses,» there’s likely a connection to drug trafficking.
Cervantes Sánchez said that the suspected multiple murderer will soon be arrested, although it´s feasible he has fled to another state of the Republic, so communication with neighboring states Prosecutors is not ruled out.
