In Baja California people will be able to enjoy a world-class cultural activity, which has been prepared by the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), in New York, and Baja California State University (UABC) that currently offers absolutely free visits to several exhibitions, prepared by one of the most prestigious museums in the world.
At UABC Tijuana Campus, the exhibition “Capturing Science” can be seen in the lobby of the University Theater, it consists of large-format images, product of research carried out at the AMNH. It will be available until February 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

At UABC Tecate Campus, the “Espacio Norte Gallery” offers visitors Opulent Oceans, a series of illustrations of marine species selected from the AMNH Rare Book Collection. The images are the product of the work of explorers or cartoonists who accompanied them on their voyages through the seas over four centuries. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In the lobby of the “Benito Juárez” University Theater and Journalists, at UABC Ensenada Campus, you can find the exhibit “A World Within You”, which shows the fascinating world of the components that make up our body, where thousands and even millions of microbes live, which are part of our life cycle and help us in some processes carried out by our internal organs, as well as those that can damage us and cause diseases.
The theater is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in addition to the hours in which there are scheduled events.
A new exhibition on scientific discoveries is being prepared
As of January 17, Natural Histories will be exhibited at the Guadalupe Victoria Unit in the Mexicali Valley. 400 Years of Scientific Illustration, an exhibition that explores the role that illustration has played in scientific discoveries, through illustrations that are part of the AMNH rare book collection. The last day that this exhibition can be enjoyed will be April 22.
