As a result of the follow-up of the investigations into the location or search for missing persons, elements of the State Attorney General’s Office located human bones, remains of a person on a dirt road in the Mexicali Valley.
It is important to note that during a meeting held last October, the collective groups and families of disappeared persons asked the Central Prosecutor Hiram Sánchez Zamora for the support of the agency to carry out search operations on land where there is the possibility of finding human remains.
Derived from the foregoing, personnel commissioned by the Specialized Units for the Investigation and Prosecution of Crimes of Forced Disappearance of Persons and Disappearance Committed by Individuals, carried out on November 13 an inspection in the vicinity of the Ciudad Morelos Dunes, supported by the use of the technology of the Scanner and the Canine K9 unit.
After locating a land with apparently recently removed soil, the excavation was carried out, finding human bones of a single individual showing three holes apparently from a gun shot in the skull.
Likewise, on the site they found two calibers 40 caps, in addition to clothing consisting of a black polo shirt and a red line on the neck of the Pavini brand, sports shorts, black and white stripes on the sides, and white socks with a blue line.
The remains were transferred to the facilities of the State Directorate of Forensic Sciences where DNA tests will be performed in order to compare with the database of relatives of missing persons to determine the identity of the deceased.
