Mexico´s awakening after COVID19 has gone slowly, but there´s news for the last leg of the year, American Airlines will launch new seasonal service to Mexican destinations La Paz and Loreto, as of December 19, this goes to show the relevance of these Baja California Sur cities as touristic destinations altogether with Los Cabos, which may start getting more direct flights in November.
“We know that our customers appreciate more access to Mexico, so we’re adding these flights to complement the recent increases for the winter season from DFW to Cancun and Los Cabos,” said American spokesperson Nichelle Barrett.
Last month, Eastern Airlines announced its first route to Mexico, also with service from JFK to Los Cabos on Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning November 14. The route´s kick off had been programmed for late August, “infrastructure Eastern Airlines needs in Los Cabos to operate flights at the Los Cabos airport has become unavailable,” the airline posted on its website at the time. Introductory fares could start at less than US 200 dollars.
