In September 2020, Aeroméxico plans to increase its domestic operations by 75% compared to August 2020, increasing frequencies in 25 of the 39 domestic destinations it currently operates. It will restart operations from Mexico City to Acapulco and will inaugurate two new routes from Guadalajara to Los Cabos and Cancun.
Aeromexico’s capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), decreased by 62.9% year-on-year in August Grupo Aeromexico transported 644 thousand passengers in August; a 64.0% year-on-year decrease and an increase of 25.5% versus July 2020.
International passenger numbers decreased by 83.8% compared to August 2019, while domestic passenger numbers decreased by 51.5% versus August 2019. Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), decreased by 73.5%, year-on-year. Aeromexico’s August load factor was 62.4%, a 21.5 p.p. decrease versus August 2019
