Specialized medical equipment was donated to be used on patients and against COVId19 by IEnova and Sempra Energy to three hospitals general de Tijuana who gives victims of this illness a better attention and service. The value of the donation is three million pesos in the acquisition of a LABCONCO Biosafety Cabinet, four Stryker stretcher trolleys, 20 Datex Ohmeda Multi-parameter monitors. Also included are two Amx 4 Plus Portable X-Rays, an Olympus Evis Extra II HDvideo Bronchoscope and 3 Mac 5500 Ecg 12 Channels and two 204 mil Verathon Glidescope Gvl Laryngoscope
The delivery was made with the presence of Dr. Guillermo López Espinoza, Medical Deputy Director of the General Hospital of Tijuana and Dulce Carolina Martínez, of IEnova’s Community Affairs in Baja California. The donation was made in collaboration with the International Community Foundation A.C.
López Espinoza explained that the team will innovate the handling of laboratory samples and the symptom simulator is vital for monitoring the health of patients, the last three months, IEnova has contributed with medical equipment, protection accessories and ambulances, for the doctors, nurses and firefighters, who are the first line in the fight against the epidemic.
In Ensenada, the Costa Azul Energy Trust, an IEnova company donated 15 million pesos for the purchase of disinfectant gel, masks, face protectors, public sinks, two ambulances, COVID-19 tests, hot food for health sector workers and now specialized equipment for diagnosis, transfer and care in the general hospitals of Tijuana and Ensenada.
