There was a shootout and as consquence of an armed attack against agents of the State Citizen Security Force (FESC in Spanish) in the Nido de las Águilas section of Tecate, the Department of Citizens Security of Baja California (SSCBC) reported that one of the state agents has died.
The SSCBC three individuals allegedly involved in the attack have been arrested, there might be more individuals involved in the shootout
One state agent was killed, and another was wounded—though the severity of the latter’s injuries was not specified—following a shootout with armed individuals suspected of being part to an organized crime cell.
Finally, the SSCBC stated that, at the time of this report, a joint operation involving various security agencies and military support is underway to locate other individuals implicated in the incident.
