More than 16 thousand marijuana plants were destroyed by Sate and Federl Law Enforcement agencies, they found them in a plantation near a local road in the Natura neighborhood of Tijuana, according to reports from Baja California Secretary of Security
Around 6:00 PM on August 5, FESC and FGR officers were approached by a citizen who reported seeing marijuana plants nearby

The agents proceeded to the site to check the information, just over a kilometer (about 600 yards) from the spot where they received the tip, they saw the plantation, covering 30 meters (90 feet) wide by 17 (42 feet) meters long— adding up to a 5 thousand 5 hundred square meter.
FESC agents counted 16 thousand 450 marijuana plants, average height of 1.77 meters (5 feet 11 inches) following standard protocols, samples were collected, packaged, and turned over to the competent authorities, they destroyed the crops by tearing the plants out of the ground and then they procedded to burn them
