North Shore Animal League America – the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization – and more than 2,000 of their shelter and rescue partners, nationally and internationally – are kicking off their 31st Annual Global Pet Adoptathon®. This month-long initiative, sponsored by Swiffer® with support from Nutrish™, is dedicated to finding loving, responsible homes for the thousands of available dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens – of all ages, breeds, and sizes – in their care.

Animal League America rescues locally, nationally and internationally, and partners with rescue groups and shelter partners nationwide, as well as city and county municipal animal care and control agencies, to promote animal adoption as the best option when deciding to add a pet to your home and life.
Participating shelter partners are based in major cities and smaller towns. Throughout May, each group will be celebrating Global Pet Adoptathon with their own events, adoption specials, and local promotions. Swiffer has provided its Sweeper and Duster Starter Kits inclusive of Heavy Duty Dry and Wet Cloths for new adopters at select local adoption centers. Animal League America collaborates with each to help garner local media, and social media, attention with the shared message of choosing animal adoption.
