Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, with Google tools such as Classroom and Meeting, used in the classroom to improve the learning process of Baja California students, which aims to reach 162 thousand students, is an ambitious educational project presented by Marina del Pilar Avila, Governor of Baja California, along with the Secretary of Education, Luis Gallego Cortez.

During her morning press conference on March 19, Marina del Pilar stated that, across the state, 162 thousand students will have Google Education Plus licenses to access these resources, supported by 13 thousand teachers in 480 schools, which represents an estimated investment of 15 million pesos.

The use of information technology in the classroom is part of the new educational trends that allow for higher quality and facilitate the work of teachers to achieve better learning outcomes and streamline learning in the classroom through the appropriate use of the internet, artificial intelligence, and other technological resources.

The Governor also mentioned a Google Traveling Lab that, through mobile internet, will be reaching schools in the most remote and isolated areas of the state: «We continue to invest in education, and Baja California is the spearhead for implementing these technologies in the classroom.»

On the other hand, the Secretary of Education, Luis Gallego, assured that intensive work will be done to prevent «computer sins» such as plagiarism and other improper uses of these resources. This is the great challenge of this education public policy program, which, if the established goals are met, will allow for a huge step forward in the academic quality of education in Baja California.
