Mexicali PD achieved an ammunition and weapons seizure, as well as three impounded cars, as they responded to an emergency call received by the C5 Control Center which reported a white pickup Ram truck and another two cars arriving to two houses in Progreso Valley section, mentioning that four individuals, armed and wearing bulletproof vests, got off the cars and entered two houses all in the Progreso Valley area.
The announcement mentioned a probable abduction, the impounding of three cars and the aforementioned arsenal, but there were no people detained and there´s no information about the probable kidnapping of individuals, since the information issued by Mexicali PD didn´t mention anything regarding that matter.
Official arrived but the cars were gone, a few minutes later C5 cameras reported a car matching the reported characteristics on Rodolfo López Mateos Ave. in Valle del Progreso, it was a white RAM pickup without license plates matching the description, it had been found parked in front of a house with a rustic fence, blocking the road.
Support was requested from C5 and other agencies showed up, agents from the State Attorney (FGE) inspected the vehicle and saw rifles and ammo magazine inside there was also a white Mazda 6 sedan, which the FESC (State Security Force) also inspected and found rifles inside.
Simultaneously, DSPM Unit 192A2 indicated that a third vehicle, a Mazda CX3, had ammo and a handgun inside, so they had to requesting support from SEDENA #Maexico Defense Secretary) and the National Guard to stablish a perimeter around the area.
They searched nearby streets and vacant lots but did not locate the suspects, so the evidence and vehicles were secured and taken to the DSPM facilities for further procedures, the cars were towed and secured in impound yards and the seized items were handed over to the Federal Attorney General’s Office.
