The three bodies found in a well, in the area known as La Bocana, south of Ensenada, arr the two Australian citizens Jake and Callum Robinson, as well as an American, Jack Carter, who haf fisappeared ladt week, avvording to the Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Baja California.
The confirmation came once the victims’ families were able to identify them, without the need for genetic testing.
This morning, the chief state prosecutor , Ma. Elena Andrade Ramírez, met with the victims’ parents and diplomatic officials from the US and Austrslia and confirmed the institution’s total commitment to continue investigating these regrettable events until those responsible face the full weight of the law.
The three men had been camping and surfing in Ssnto Tomas and disappeared when they were traveling to Ensenada where they had RBnB reservations and never showed up.
Relatives of the two Australians got worried after not hearing from them for a couple of days with, moreover when they hadn’t posted anything in their social networks, so they filed a missing person’s report.
The FGE started investigating and arrested a woman wha had th cell phone of one of the men and about 24 hours later they found their car, which was burnt and a few hours later the three bodies.
FGE authorities said that tha regrettable events might have been a robbery gone bad or the three men tried to resist and were murdered.
More informatiin on the case will be provided es the FGE works, they cannot reveal other details because investigations are in progress and they can’t say more currently, but Attorney Andrade reafirmed the corporation commitment to enforce the Law in this tragic and sorrowful event.
