State Preventive Police impounded a ton and a half of drugs in Tijuana

After a search warrant was issued, a house in Valle Verde, Tijuana, was searched by the State Preventive Police (PEP, in Spanish) and more than half a ton (about 1 thousand 100 pounds) were impounded inside the house, the order had been applied for as of last January 4th, after a man had been detained with almost 500 pounds of marihuana, 13 kilos of ice, firearms and live ammo.

His name is Peter “X”, 37 years old, from Tijuana, who was driving a Frontier pick up with about 20 packages overlooking the car’s cabin, he was pulled over and the drugs were found in the packages, and on a body search a .38 millimeter gun was found.

When the PEP elements were arresting Pedro, they saw more packages which were visible inside the house yard so the search warrant was issued while PEP elements surveilled the house and after the search was carried out there were 150 packages which wighed more than a ton and a half.
