Santa Ana winds provoke one ofthe biggest forest fires in California over 25 thousand acres: 8 thousand homes evacuated

Strong Santa Ana winds are blowing forest fires high in California, west Coast of the USA, which has driven authorities to evacuate about 8 thousand homes, the fire has been located in Ventura County about 25 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

LA Fire Department officials said that the fire’s surface reaches about 25 thousand acres and advances quick it’s been forecasted the winds to continue blowing for several days and Ventura Fire Department Chief, Mark Lorenzen has said that there are 500 firefighters working in the area.


The prospects to contain the fire are not good and it is really up to Mother Nature to determine whether we have the capability of putting it off or not” said Lorenzen.

One of the evacuated residents said that this is the worst fire of the last fifteen years the past time something like this happened, the fire was all over the backyards.
There are no immediate reports as result of the fire and the cause has not been determined yet, in October more than 40 people died and more than 10 thousand structures were burnt when several fires blazed the wine producing area of California.
