“Dracula Gay” tour kicks off in Mexicali on July 21

The Zona Escénica Sonora theatrical company arrives in Baja California to present the play “Dracula Gay“, a northern cabaret and “bloody” theatrical work, aimed at adolescents and adults, with feature presentations on Friday, July 21 and Saturday 28 at the State Center of Arts Mexicali (CEART) .

The play will be on tour in Mexicali, Ensenada and Tijuana, with a final presentation in the neighboring city of San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora.

In this comedy, written by the playwright Tomás Urtusástegui, we will see how the legendary Count Dracula is more thirsty than ever, but a problem in his famous fangs, prevents him from feeding properly.

“Tonight may be the last Full Moon that Count Dracula enjoys on Earth … if he does not succeed in consummating his revenge to those who have done so much evil. That is why he is determined to tell his story, his issues, traumas and hysteria, ” declared actor and director Armando Garval.

The feature presentations of “Dracula Gay” throughout Baja California begin in the state capital, on July 21 and 28, 2017 at 8:00 pm at the Experimental Forum of CEART Mexicali. General admission $ 150 pesos. The show will also be presented at La Puerta, Galería y Artes Escénicas (Thursday 20).

On Wednesday, July 26, he will perform at CEART Ensenada and on Saturday, 29 at CEART Tijuana. All shows start at 20:00 hours.

This is a formal invitation from the Government of the State through the Institute of Culture of Baja California.
