A court granted former Mexicali Mayor, Francisco Perez Tejada, immunity to a probable arraignment which saves him the bother to response legally to power abuse charges which were the least he could have gotten accused for, since the problem was an ealleged millionaire embezzlement in Social Security fees that the City Government should have paid to Issstecali (Social Security Intsuitute of the State) which has caused a severe financial crisis in Mexicali City Council.

COLUMNAOCHO is a website that has taken over this issue and THE BAJA POST offers a summary of the information that is available (only Spanish) in:

The third Colegiate Court of the Fifteenth Circuit (sic) granted a special prerogative to avoid arraignment of an alleged 661 million pesos embezzlement, a case where fraud and other crimes had been already “crossed out” and elicited rage and discontent from the people mostly the ones that have been negatively affected by this supposed illegal public funds deviation.
