More than 685 thousand students back to school after Spring Break in B.C.

More than 685 thousand basic education students got back to school Monday April 24th, including  public state and federal as well as private schools, all belonging to the State Educational System (SEE in Spanish), said Social Wellbeing and Education Secretary of Baja California, Miguel Ángel Mendoza González.EDU02

“Basic education professors are already informed about the return to school and we are ready to receive students in 3 thousand 748 schools, all over the State”, said Mr. Mendoza.

After Spring Break, which included a two week vacation, all the students in Baja California got back to school, some schools though, only had a week  Spring Break vacation, but as of April 24th all schools in the State of Baja California have returned to class, and now is a last stretch to Summer Vacation of about 6’8 weeks.

Secretary Mendoza said that the basic education students in Baja California are distributed as follows: 112 thousand 312 students; elementary school: 388 thousand 336 students, junior high: 184 thousand 425 students, they are 69.7% of all the students of the State’s School System in three different levels (basic, midi superior and superior).
