The Bishop of Saltillo, Raul Vera, who was nominated for the Nobel peace prize in 2012, for his labor for human rights, was in Mexicali last friday 24 of march to support the Water and Life Assumably, that’s opening the discusuión with society to propose a Water State Act for Baja California.

The assembly opened its work with a day workshop to analyze a water policy proposition after the emerging issues generated in the state due to the installation of Constellation Brand Brewery.

So 50 activist participated in the workshops of the day debating  the use of the Colorado River water,  its benefits and environmental cost of its use, water as a human right and its sustainability, a new  governance that permits the access to water for all the people, contamination and the municipalization of this social good as a way of propitiating its use as an social welfare.

The works were addressed by César Angulo an activist that is part or the assembly.
