Cristobal Castañeda under-secretary of Public Safety of Sinaloa confirmed that Juan Jose Esparragoza Monzón, AKA “El Negro” son of the Cartel boss “El Azul” escaped from Culiacán Penitentiary.

Around Thursday noon authorities informed about the probable evasion of an inmate, so there was an operation mounted inside the Penitentiary, and the last information released by Sinaloa’s officials was that the guards inside Culiacan jail were calling role to 2 thousand 500 prisoners in order to check there are no more evaded inmates, movement which started at about 14:30 hours Pacific Time.

“El Negro” had been warned by Sinaloa’s State Attorney officials that the USA were asking for his extradition so that might be the reason why Esparragoza fled so suddenly, since he is the son of one of the most powerful drug-lords in Mexico and he didn’t want to wind up as Chapo Guzman did.
